We have a large (overstocked) pond, just outside London, containing some very large common carp, golden carp, gold fish and tench.
We are moving away for a while and want to rent our house but the existing gravity filter clogs and overflows regularly during the summer. We can't really expect a tenant of the house to look after the pond, so the we are having to think about decommissioning the pond.
Some of the carp were already very large when we moved in, nearly 20 years ago and some have grown to the same size while we have been here. So we have some very old fish and frankly I don't have the heart to kill any of them, big or small.
An ideas would be very welcome, especially if you are in the UK and know of someone that could help.
Thanks
Gary
