Hi i'm new to this, so sorry if i get things wrong, but can anyone tell me if it is ok to cut off a flower head as it got wet and has started to rot?

cut any dead flowers or pads about an inch from the rhyzome.

If its growing good it will shoot up another. They only last 4 to 5 days before the sink. Then you can cut it off

When they turn brown and don't fully close, they are toast.
