We purchased some water Lilly's for our little water pond and I did not notice this until today. Some of the Lilly pads are curled up. I searched for this and found this could be a symptom of root rot except that they are not yellow.

Could it be new growth?

6a is probably average winter, but I've seen it -24F here once in 30 years, and -10 to -15 at times

Miracle grow will harm fish? I was wondering about using Miracle grow in a water lily pot when I saw the post.

Miracle Gro in itself will likely not harm fish, but it will certainly add to the nutrient level of the pond if not used prudently. Plants in a pond with fish should not need supplemental fertilization.
