Hello and welcome! We have a few members who live in the PNW.

The first thing I do when I am curious about a particular animal living in a particular environment — do research to find out what the requirements are for that animal.

1. What are its temperature requirements (and will it survive if your pond has extremes)?
2. Is it a community fish (does it get along with its neighbors — sorry, but I don’t know what a pygmy is….)?
3. Why do you want that particular animal/fish? (Dojos are really cool, but you’d never see them in a pond)
4. How much space does it require?

Please post some pics for us! We love to see other’s ponds!

I read the Dojo's can't go in temps outside below 50f so you'd have to bring it inside for winter. Check this out for more info: https://www.aquariumsource.com/dojo-loach/
