I actually planted 4 of them by my back decks and the rest of the babies i gave to fellow ponders that live around here .I just took them to our garden pond meeting and they were all spoken for .I gave with each one a description of how to take care of them and how to over winter them and how to fertilize them .I am up to 27 babies given away

So you just cut them down, to how far above the base of stem? I am going to chop mine down so I can fit into greenhouse over winter.

Fat baby Rio needs another hug before I rush off to work..

No you have to move every thing away from the roots to find if it has roots and cut the baby free from the mother plant gently .Then you pull all the bottom leaves off and only leave top leaves on .With 1 you are taking in just cut most of the leaves off and wrap the pot to keep the root warm You let the frost hit the banana first to kill off most of the leaves and remove them but make sure the roots do not freeze .
