I did the same almost gave all my furniture away but my tools came with me .Only furniture I kept was my large curio cabinet and my grandfather clock .My sister gave me 2 plastic chairs to sit on .My hubby did buy the bedroom furniture before I moved down here because we had both seen it and loved it .The only thing he did not get a mattress I could live with .He was down here 7 months before I moved down here and he had to wait for the flooring to be put in and get our C of O .We were lucky because the county gave it to us with out the porch's or steps and with out the basement windows which all came broken .

12 years I have been putting the santa wreath on mom and dads grave and adding the great grandchilden's names on it .Dad bought the wreath when mom died and he said before he passed away the next year that he hoped someone would put it on after he was gone ,I stepped up to do it .I hope they know that I love them and miss them

A third done and more flooring taken up .My helpers are just plain darn lazy >I need to fire them .I think the venice beach I put down in the kitchen looks good with this floor .Not easy for 1 person and the room is 18 x 31 ,so that makes it harder ,plus moving all the furniture

Found out something ,there are 2 subfloors ,not sure why Norris homes put down 2 subfloors but I guess with the steel beams they must have needed it to meet code

If you are talking layers of plywood there are several reasons . Your more cost contentious builders will avoid 3/4 ply due to it's cost and go with lesser thickneses at a cheaper price but then they double up with another layer to get the code requirement. but the most common is a layer of 3/4 ply and then a second layer of 1/2 ply for tile to stiffen up the floor , Any spring to the floor and your tile and grout will fail. If it's just for carpet the one 3/4 is good but even linoleum will have a second layer but of 1/4 inch installed on the sub floor base being the 3/4

I measured the depth of each piece of plywood and both are 3/4 inch .My house is a modular home and has a steel beam under the floor and one in the attic that runs the length of the house at 96 feet and has 2/12 's attached to it to bring the 2 beams together with huge bolts and nuts and is also left on frame from the manufacture at my request .They usually take it off the frame and recycle the frame but they told me leaving it on would make the floors even stiffer .I checked with a structural engineer also .Getting there JW .Moving the heavy furniture and removing the laminate flooring just takes time .The room is 18x31 .The tables are slate and metal and then you have the huge grandfather clock and the curio cabinet and then the car table .

I like the lighter colored flooring you chose. Lightens everything up nicely!
Also next couch I get is gonna have nice cushy pillow arms on it like yours.

That is a reclining sofa .It has 2 recliners ,one on each side .I have had it since 2005 .I like the chihuahuas hair does not show up as much on the floor .I had to fire my helpers .They were laying down on the job all the time .Even the stuffed dog toy was being lazy .

great in my 2 story house but here not so great in a 1 story home .I have the matching curio cabinet also they are over 30 years old .I had a very formal house in NJ so they kind of stand out in this house .It has 6 different kinds of sounds .I always worry about the rounded glass doors getting broke
