It was laminate floors from back in 2004 when they were in .Now insulated underlayment and the flooring also has an insulated pad attached to it .It is 3/4 inch plywood since this is a modular house .I also primed it with kilz primer to seal it and give it mildew and mold inhibitor protection .The basement ceiling is insulated and the slab is insulated but more never hurts in keeping the electric bill down and the house warmer or cooler .They all said it was overkill to even put in 2x6 stud walls and triple pane windows ,but I come from NJ so extra keeps you warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer .I wanted to do this house right when I designed it and had it built by Norris homes .This was the first house Norris ever built that was 96 feet long and a true 32 feet wide without walls in place .Took 2 cranes to lift it .For the first time it was a house I thought was not a fixer upper ,joke was on me ;)no lawn and no trees and no porch's or decks

Bravo,
I usually don't listen to the flow either. i am with you i would rather spend it up front a one time hurt such as the 2x6 frame and lesson the run costs down the road. 96' long definitely add some logistical issues to say the least

It also had steel beams in the floor and the attic .They were put in to support the open floor plan .I paid 89 thousand for the house because Norris homes wanted my plan .I looked at homes for over 2 months
