Skimming debris from the pond

HI all!
When using my pool net (I use it at least 3 times a day to skim stuff off of the top and leaf material from the water).....should I be removing the roots of the pond plants that have broken off of the plants and are floating in the water? Or are they good for the pond/fish?

Yes it is a lot easier to net it off the top

Yes! Net it all! Anything that's floating on the water surface is eventually going to sink to the bottom.
