Small Bog Plants Ideas in Zone 9

I have not posted here in a while since life has been hectic, and now things have slowed down, I wanted to do some additions to my pond. I have been wanting to add a small gravel bog to my pond, but before I do that I wanted some ideas on small bog plants(12" or smaller) that can handle full sun in Louisiana heat. The reason for the small height is that behind then are Iris. I have not been able to find any information and this site was So helpful in the past, I thought I would check here. Also, a link to any helpful sites would be very appreciated.

Bog bean, blue forget me not, water willow, sedges, all stay under 12 inches. You would need to check and see if they are good for your area.

I have creeping Jenny and cork screw rush in my bog in full sun no issues zone 7

cardinalis.... beautiful and wont grow too big.

Thank you for the good suggestions. I will be looking into those or maybe a combination of those.
