Snails

evidently there were some snails in plants I bought from the tropical fish store. I've only seen 8 but I hear that they're like ants....where there's one there's usually alot more. Is there anything that I can do to get rid of snails before they take over my pond?

If you have fish, they should keep them under control. I had a lily only pond that got destroyed by snails. Tried several chemical treatments- still had snails. 12 feeder goldfish, have a few snails but no plant damage.
