I got some underwater lighting that works outside the pond but as soon as i put it in water it doesnt work. What could be wrong with them?

Some wire, socket or bulb is failing to make solid contact when exposed to water. Thoroughly examine every likely weak point then make appropriate repairs. Better yet, if your lights are new, exchange them. Speak up again if you find the falt and need further advice. With all that said, personally, I would either return or discard and replace them due to risk of electrical shock.

Someone gave them to me so returning them isnt an option. I will give them a good looking over to see if I can find the issue. Do they sell just the wire and bulb? The unit seems to be working just fine?
