I've been wanting to take a few pics of some of the flowers that have just started blooming the last couple of weeks. I know some of you are still covered in snow and ice and thought you might enjoy seeing proof that spring is on it's way. If anyone else has spring flowers they would like to share feel free to add to the thread!

Spring is here, and summer is right around the corner. It has been so hot this week, one night at 10PM it was 80 inside the house. We had to turn the AC on. Today we finally got some rain, and around the pond - love is in the air. Too funny watching the baby goldfish practice their big fish moves.

I was thinking of entering this photo in the Feb tranquility photo theme, but I figured those of you up north in the snow and ice would boo me out! Oh, and Sissy, to the left and below the white orchid there are two fuschia spikes, those are bloom spikes on a tillandsia. We call it cardinal plant, Tillandsia Fasciculata, it is native here.

Raspberries, yummy! Every morning I watch the cardinals zooming in and out of the raspberry bush. They always leave me plenty for a morning handful or two. The cardinals disappear every winter, I think they follow the food and head up north to the feeders of black oil sunflower seed. Then about the time the cherry tomatoes, raspberries and blueberries are fruiting, they show up in droves. Oh, and they visit our feeders also.

Meyer Lemon's to be.

Baby Peaches! One of these fell off :sniffles: When they get a bit bigger, I will put a knee high panty hose on them to protect them from bugs, squirrels and hungry cardinals.

The Dwarf Satsuma Mandarin is busting out in new growth. I'm sure it will be blooming soon. Oh, and we can't go out and scrounge up cool rock for garden edge borders, so check out the border for the mandarin!

Baby Mangos! When these get bigger, they will get sewn window screen bags to protect them from the ravaging squirrels. Oh, and I don't have a picture of it, but today I found two baby pineapples on one of my plants, the dang squirrels really love pineapple, so I'm going to have to think of something for these.
