Hi everyone , it has been a long time since i posted , i have been a little busy moving house and building my pond .
My pond is 3.4 meters x 1.8 meters x 800 mm deep
Concrete footings were 250 mm wide x 250 mm deep "800 kgs of 55 mpa concrete "
Versaloc blocks mortarless as they lock into each other , except for the first course "60 kgs of mortar"
The blocks were core filled with 55 mpa concrete "1460 kgs 55 mpa concrete "
Blue stone bullnose edge capping 500mm long x 230 mm wide x 20 mm thick "5 kgs of slate grey grout and 40 kgs mortar to bed them in "
Gravel 700 kgs of 4-8 mm pea river gravel
Pump Laguna 9000 liters/hr
Filter Laguna pressure flo witch uvc 14000
Paint Dulux weathershield colour "Happy Days "
Water about 3500 liters roughly .
Make the garden look good at the end 800 kgs of 25-40 river pebbles
Ok.
I have built a pond before raise and made out of wood , it was nice , but when we moved i wanted a pond a little better , not that there is anything wrong with a raised wooden pond .
This was built by me and took a bit of hard work , but i think it has come up rather nice .
Anyone lets get some pics going and please feel free to ask any questions
Cheers Andrew "Tommo "
