Wow, that's a big helicopter! Must have been very impressive to see it. Did you get to have a ride?

The Sea King is a fantastic rescue helicopter. They're used by all the UK rescue services. The Royal Navy paint theirs red and grey, the RAF use yellow.

I once saw one in use on a mountain rescue in the mountains of Snowdonia.
It was amazing to see the skill of the pilot. We were coming down off Snowdon in thick cloud and came across a casualty half way up a mountain. The local Mountain Rescue crew were on the scene and had him in a stretcher cage. The helicopter was way below, facing the slope hovering over a lake waiting for a break in the clouds. He must have waited over 15 minutes, but as as soon as a break appeared, he went up following the slope of the mountainside with his rotors no more than 20' from the rocks. When he was over the casualty, the line went down, the cage was fixed on and he was up and away, all done in less than a minute.
