Waterfall redo-step 2

Hi again everyone,

No answers to step one yet; I'll research it this evening and see what I can find out.

Step 2: (Completely disassemble current waterfall).

I live in Oregon. Relatively temperate winters. Pond water temperature drops below 45 in November and I'm guessing it will come back up in March/April. No feeding of fish for this period.

Part of my waterfall is the filter (Aquafalls medium). Can I shut this down completely during this cold period or do I need to set up an alternate filter during the rebuild of the WF.

I would think that as long as you stop feeding, you would be okay. The fish will chill out during the winter and not be as active.

Thanks for the input. I think you're right. However, our work situation has taken a bit of a dip so the waterfall stays as is until next year in the winter IF i have the $$.
