It has a mucous looking coating in spots. He has had this problem for several years. I've just been unable to catch him to treat until now

2 fish out of 40. Noticed it two years now - sort of got better in the summer. I've been unable to catch him until now. I thought it was ich but now I'm thinking not.

Yes. When I was able to get a better picture I couldn't find my post from before so I opened a new one. Does it look like fungus. I went and got paraguard and put the fish in a separate tank. It's been about a week and they don't look any better. Don't know what to do.
