my theory is it crawled past the neighbor's guard dogs at night, evading hungry glowing raccoon eyes, slipping under the fence, looking for better digs. Yeah, I'm sticking with that!

It arrived to my pond via a bought pond plant. I leave it be the fish love to eat it. I scoop it out of the ponds it grows in and toss it in the fish filled ponds. It is gone fast.
