When to bring in goldfish before freeze up?

Hi, I couldn't find the previous answer to my Q: When to bring in goldfish before freeze up?
I know that they do go dormant but I want to bring them in before ice on the pond. Its goes down to 7 C at nights here now.

Is your pond not deep enough? there are members here that live in Canada and leave there fish outdoor year round, just be sure to use something for gas exchange be it a pond breather or a trough heater, etc.

Oh, I live in MB, -35C , no sense in trying to keep warm. Only 3 goldfish.

Very small pond, approx 120gal

How many fish do you have? What have you done with them in years past? What size container will they go into?
