Black snakes in pond

It's probably a species of water snake (Nerodia spp.). They aren't entirely black but an exceptionally dark individual could look black. Nerodia are non-venomous, but they do eat fish. Please post a pic if possible.

Glad we dont have pond snakes in the UK...sounds horrific
hi kimberleyc, we do have snakes in the uk we have adders and grass snakes smooth snakes and slow worms ive had an adder family in my garden for the entire time ive lived here 20years and often see them in my wildlife pond, and i live in the north, they are even more prevalent down south :oops: where its a bit warmer.
