Hi guys I am new to all this. I was trying to make an easy DIY goldfish pond and considering certain circumstances an above ground pond would be easiest for me. Wanted something about 2-3 ft deep and around 300-500 gallons. The only issue is that I live in Texas and average temperatures in the summer time is usually 90-100 degrees f. Coldness will not be a problem in winter time because I plan to set a greenhouse around the pond.

I wanted to know if overheating for a pond this size will be an issue. I will try to build the pond in constant shade but I’m not sure it’s enough for a cold water fish. Is this something I need to worry about?
