I don't usually get much algae string or floating here and my pond is in full sun and I do not have a uv .So why is there such a difference in ponds that get algae and ponds that don't ,I don't understand how and why ,I tend to 2 neighbors ponds and they have no algae either and yet 3 others around here have algae .What is right and what is wrong .I use a lot of oxygen in all of the ponds here is it just that .

I have 2 waterfalls and all of the I helped build have 2 also and a filter on each end of the ponds plus this year we bought the bigger 5.8 psi air pumps ..Could it be the filters or waterfalls or the extra oxygen coming from them.showing oxygen I get from filter waterfalls

So far no algae, I have read the bog is a good algae consumer. Also have a air pump running.

Addy you probably get extra oxygen from your bog also .When it runs through the stones it picks up plenty of oxygen .

Thats why I was wondering oxygen at a high concentration helps really control the algae
