Metal tank check before you install. Might be a toxic problem i will let the experts reply as I am not sure. Rather 2 days of waiting before your told you f-ed up.

Other then that I wish I had a pond that big. Bentonite ? Or liner
Plastic covered by concrete, 25,000- 30,000 gallons

Metal stock tanks are all I've ever used but all I stock are gold fish and/or koi. They seem to procreate like rabbits! For a long time I didn't even add any chemicals or keep up with water changes and still plenty survived (but I would not now neglect them as I unwittingly did then). I love that they hibernate in the winter (save money not feeding). Worse part of spring/summer/fall is keeping the pump unclogged, having to watch out for snakes in my tank before putting my hands in(!) and the water changes. I kid you not--one morning found a water moccasin in one of my water features and called police to come help me (small town) as posed a real a danger to me and my four footed pets. Luckily a snake handler was listening to police calls and arrived to catch and kill the snake easily. BTW, I am a live and let live person (will not kill non-venomous snakes) but not when danger is involved.

That's a fine looking pond. Has it ever filled to the top? The wildlife must love it.
