Now that you are going to be of legal drinking age, what will be your first alcoholic beverage legally purchased???

Happy early B-day.....

Ha Ha addy I'll send you some too.

Thanks for the b-day wishes Guy and love my new babies!

Oh forgot to tell you, I cleaned out the plant ring that I put the tads in and found 3 of them in there.............weird only 3 tho. 2 of the 3 escaped into the pond now and one is in a smaller plant ring so there may be some of your froggies yet! Am wondering if the others might have slipped over the sides of the plant ring as I had attached one extra plant ring tube on top of the one that had netting trying to make it higher so the goldies couldn't slide over it and maybe the tads could have squeezed through the gap between them and into the pond cuz the whole ring was riding low in the water.

You never know you may have a croak-er yet. This is what they should look like.

The males of this species are territorial, and in May and June utilize breeding calls to attract females. Females may lay approximately 3000 eggs. Emerging tadpoles are quite large and easily visible in shallow water. The larval stage is relatively long, with the tadpoles over-wintering and metamorphosing the next year.

My lotus tank is still full of them. the big pond had a ton too, but with all the room they have to roam, no clue if any are still around, or the fish ate them.

Nice looking frogs, hope the little buggers do survive :)

Well it says they overwinter that way, so next year will be the key. Maybe in the spring if I see little froglets I can send you some with legs if yours don't make it. They are in the lotus pond which will freeze, not solid, maybe I need to keep a hole open in it for the tads.
