Starting a stock tnak pond
Im using a over kill pump magdrive 2200
Please comment if im doing it right or wrong

THE SET UP

Magdrive punp attached to the pvc pipes
Since its too strong i used T to put back some of the water in the tank
Circulating the water at the bottom or the tank
The rest goes straight to the 55 gallon drum
As a bog filter

BOG FILTER

its a 55 gallon drum
Inside it is a 30gallon drum cut in half
And turned upside down inaide the 55 gallon drum
The watwr supply goes inside that 30 gallon drum
Using uniseal
I have bio balls inside the 30gallon drum
And also have air supply
I have a waste valve ton the side of the 55gallon straight inside the 30gallon
Easy to clean the waste just open the valve
After that i filled it with pebbles then lava rocks then peagravel
Planted some water plants the roots will help filter the water

I dont have enough gravel at the moment so the water is aboved the gravel
I throw in guppies for now so no mosquitoes

So what do you guys think?

The fiest tank after the 55gallon is a catfish tank
Second tank is a tilapia

The water at the bottom of the tank is circulating
And the water ontop is also circulating
Now top and bottom are swirling
Then i have a fishnet to catch those fish poop
Every afternoon ill just wash off that fishnet
No more leaves debris of any kind floating around

Thank you
I really like the sound of the water too
Juat using an elbow sideways creates more bubbles on the water and spread the water also

Was wondering if i can add shrimp in this tank
But im afraid if the tilapia will eat them haha

It will probably do fine, make sure they are getting dirty water, ie fish poo and or fertilizer.
