I think black would have been a better choice. You are going to see everything including algae and dirt.

WOW...my eyes hurt just lookin at the picture.....looks more like a swimming pool than a pond! black would have ben more appropriate like the doc said...it is the standard.....i do hope the paint is fish safe...what kind did you use? epoxy?
