Hi,
I have a small 160 gal pond. I don't have plants or fish due to a severe raccoon problem. I have a waterfall as well. I have a problem with brown water throughout the season. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if I add low levels of chlorine to the water if it would damage my pump or not. I really want to have clear water and thought adding chlorine might do the trick. any thoughts?
. Thanks.

Adding chlorine is NOT the best way to go. Chlorine dissipates in about 24-72 hours so there is no long term benefit to adding it. Use a algae remover like Algaefix every week or 2 weeks as needed.
You can add small fish like guppies, platties or even mollies for colora ndto keep the miscitoes down even in small water features. Good luck, Gail
