I don't use in pond lights most leak and just give you a cloudy view of the fish i use only down lights and all you need for them is a simple light holder about 8 dollars most places and those LED'S from sams club are rated for outdoor use .The outside light holder has a rubber gasket to keep water from getting in ,but the ones I have in my pond by the water fall I just added a plastic zip lock bag and taped it on tight .The light holder is just tucked in the rocks and then just plugged into a dusk to dawn outlet box .

Inpond lights are so cool. At night they illuminate the fish etc.

My first impulse was to tell you to build a nice bottomless birdhouse to cover and protect your electrical works, but then I remembered that many of those 'big ugly transformer plug ends' also have a sensor to turn the lights on at dusk and off at dawn, so you have to leave them exposed. Either that, or tape over the sensor and put them on switched circuits.

Check out brinkman the use a small box as a transformer for there LED lights I have there driveway lights and the transformer is 2 1/2 inches thick by 3 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide .The transformers i have bought from other places are larger but some come with timers instead of a dusk to dawn sensor .All you have to do is also tape up the sensor and put it on a timer and get a fake rock or make one or build some thing for over it like Haro said

How festive would you go? I've seen residential systems look worse then this.

I always had a rule for lighting, If your lighting is more colorfull than that at a Disney park you have a problem. LOL
