I recently purchased a device called WE-MO made by Belkin that allows you to covert any plug to a wireless switch you can control with your smartphone. All you do is plug it into the outlet them plug the lights, pump etc that you want to control into the switch and once you connect the switch to your phones networking you can turn the device on or off anywhere you have access to an internet connection. I payed 50 dollars each and got 3 devices (2 for the ponds lights and waterfall pump & one for my indoor terrariums basking light system.)

You had some house breakers? That sucks and sorry to hear about that. Hope you didn't lose anything irreplaceable
