KoiGuy, The camera in a ziplock bag is a great idea. I enjoyed your video.

CliffandJoann, Your koi pictures are awsome. Your koi look quite content.

Talking about feeding worms to you fish. I have irish moss and wooley thyme around my pond, and I have found that slugs love to feast on the irish moss. I go out after dark and pick up anywhere from 2 to 20 one inch or smaller slugs out of the irish moss. I was smashing them on the side walk next the pond, but I found that my shubunkins just love them.

Very cool. I like your beach idea. If you feed them there it forces them to come out of the water a bit to get a little better interaction. Only concern would not the have any preditors around for the easy pickings of those beached whales. I think my cat would give it try.

Airic, Our koi are very interactive with us. They are quite smart as well, and
shy away from strangers and strange dogs. Our property is surrounded by huge
oaks, so herons don't like to come into the area.
We do get racoons though, and have trapped several coons and re-located them to Cliff's fishing hole a few miles from our house.

Thanks DocCase.
Koi Photography is another way to enhance the pond hobby.
The digital camera is just amazing, take pictures and immediately
view them on your computer.
It works so well with my instant gratification
personality.

A photo from this fall, and the current screen saver on my laptop.
