Im having a problem when i feed my koi..I put food in, but by the time the fish come up to get the food the skimmer has already dragged it over to the skimmer opening. i have a water fall which falls towards the opposite side of my skimmer so the water circles around the pond. i try to put the food in a spot which takes longer to get to the skimmer but only some of the fish eventually come up. any ideas?

put a floating plastic ring in the pond and tie it off to the shore on a stake or whatever.throw the food in the ring. it should contain it so they can eat... after a while they will go to the ring, everytime they see you.. waiting to get fed.
I make my feeding rings from 8ea. 45 degree 3/4" PVC fittings and 8 pieces of thinwall PVC about 8' long. Works great!
