Found plant in Lake Erie what is it?

Found this piece of a plant that looks like 3 feathers on each segment.
Very nice looking plant. Saved a piece of it in a bucket and want to see if it's something I want to raise.

One of the water milfoil varieties. Could be invasive but in a garden pond it should be manageable. If you decide to keep it, just make sure to rinse it well so you don't get any other critters.

Yup - they fight that in the local lakes as it will take over.
