Greebhouse or Lights?

If you intend to grow a 4' tall plant fluorescents will be inadequate. They simply won't provide enough light penetration to have a full plant. You'll end up with bare sticks with a flourish of growth up near the light at best. You really need HID lighting, either high pressure sodium or metal halide to grow a high light plant that tall.

It looks like a tree, there is only a canopy of leaves at the top of it, not a 4 foot shrub. I'm not really trying to GROW it, or produce peppers year round, just keep the plant alive for the next season.
