ive been lurking in the back ground for some time now and finally decided to introduce myself and my pond.
my names Jesse, i live in San Tan Valley, AZ.
my pond, which parts are still under construction, is 9'x6'x6' around 2500 gallons. i went deep to help the koi excape the hot summer heat. The pond is 26" above ground and the rest under. the exposed walls are insulated between the walls and liner to help with water temp fluctuations. the filter is gravity feed via 4" bottom drain to 3-20 gallon chambers bio filter system. from there it pours into a long above pond bog that dumps back into the main pond (this part is still in the works and should be online this weekend). i run a HydroClean Seagull skimmer to a 55watt UV filter then to a Tangential return thats 3' under the water level.
its been in the works since the first part of march. its fully cycled and now has koi.
im sure i'll have tons of questions as time goes on, but this fourm has already help me tons in the plaining and construction stages.
