Growth on my koi

hi everyone, I have a large koi that I have had for probably 7/8 years, I have recently found that it has a pink pea shape growth on its side. I have never seen this before. Apologies for the poor pic. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Dave 54 I'll give it a go my bigger koi do not like being caught, the scale now has fallen off and the growth is similar to a human wart. I will try and get a clearer pic. Keith

Hi Keith if the scale has fallen off treat for secondary infection, firstly you'll need to catch the koi m, tell me Keith have you ever put your koi under anesthetic before ?
If you have you'll need to put the koi under for a short while to enable you to get to look at the wound propperly , then clean up around he wound with a dab of Malachite Green and Propolis before returning your koi back to your pond again.
If you've never tried it before your going to have to do things the hard way, whilst the koi is awake .
If you dont have any propolis you can buy it from any health food store or online along with a koi sedative from a koi dealership :-
