I converted my leaking 10 ft deep swimming pool into an 8000 gal water garden plus 6 koi and a missing bullfrog named Kirby.
I made this short 1 min video as a compilation of 1 year taking pictures of my pond, just for fun.

That was quite interesting watching those plants come back to life after winter was over. Thanks for sharing

Welcome to the forums!
What a great idea for a video! It's interesting to see how much it changes over the course of a year.

welcome and got a good laugh at the umbrella up down up down up down .I like you choice of plants and it really looks natural would not have known it was a pool if you had not said so .Looks like a natural pond .I think I may have seen it on you tube or something similar

Thank you Sissy. Yes I posted it a month ago on YouTube and you are right about the umbrella. It is the only non living thing that seems to be alive in the video. The Australian dark red canna lily actually was meant for dry ground. But it does well in the bog area too.

Mine cannas grew great in the pond but moved them out because flowers were poisonous I was told .They were falling into the pond .Elephant ears not good either but since they have no flowers they seem fine I just cut off the dieing leaves .I wish I could grow more tropical plants but I have to bring them in .

Wow, I won't let any canna flower fall into the water next time :ugh: . Only colocasia black magic does well in the stream, none of colocasia or alocasia survives in the pond. This year, just like the past two years I will plant green onion, upland cress and water cress on the stream.. talking organic here.. Any idea what other veggies can grow in the bog stream?
