Help, what is this and can it be treated

Hi all, this is what they told us was a "common" fish that has lived in our Koi pond for many years. One of his eyes looks like something grew over it and this growth? what is this and can he be treated or is he just to old? We put him in a tank now to try to help him but I have no idea what to do for him. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

hi @bluiis, sadly i think that looks like a tumour and without specialist knowledge of care/removal i think that fish has probably had its day, try to keep the water fresh and clean with little water changes and just see how he/she does, also take the pebbles out of the tank there not serving any purpose and taking up space, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.cheers mark
