The turtles are getting irritated with me.... In order to have room to work on one pond section, I had to take away some of their space, and it's an area they are liking right now. Poor little things don't understand it's only temporary, and will soon be BIGGER & BETTER for them. Also, they associate the sounds of digging with getting fresh worms or grubs to snack on. Not a lot of that happening for them as I'm giving most of the grubs to the birds right now.

We got some pretty good rain last night. Fortunately, we had gotten the huge tarp over the "hole," so now there is 6" of water covering the tarp instead of IN THE HOLE!

It looks kinda cool -- even though it's not a pond yet, the illusion is there! Easier to imagine what it is going to look like.
