How long does it take for external pump to prime?

Another question for performance pro pump, how to mount it to a stable base? I don't see place where I can use a screw to secure the pump to a base.

Just needs to be on solid ground preferably some aggregate or stone. The plumbing will keep it from. Moving

My non priming pump primes beautifully.

Due to my slope build, the top of the pump is at the level of the top of the water.
