Hi everyone
I have a quite large lily plant in my pond which has started to die off, do i need to cut it back before it all dies and sinks to bottom of the pond or do i just leave it?

I trim back dead and dying pads all summer long - but yes, you don't want that organic material left to rot in the bottom of the pond if you can help it.

Do you know if it is a hardy or tropical lily? If hardy, the above advice is excellent, if tropical, best to bring it inside.

Ah - good catch! I assumed when @Willo said "quite large lily plant" that it had been growing in this spot for a while and therefore hardy - but never assume!
