My goodness Adavisus! That is gorgeous! What kind pf Lily is it? Is it tropical?

On a happy note, we have been in the 40's and rainy for the last week. Continue with a completely average year so far, within 5 degrees of average highs and lows continue. But I will take the 40's over the 30's any day of the week. Supposed to be in the 50's this weekend! :) Ice is melting off the pond.

Today was our 20th below zero day of this long, cold, snowy winter. We will get number 21, 22, and 23 before the week ends. I heard today that several of the Great Lakes are almost 99% ice covered... that hasn't happened in many, many years. The Mississippi is frozen over in several spots. I'm beginning to wonder if my pond is frozen clear to the bottom? It's starting to feel like it's always been cold. And white.

Going to look at some pond pictures now, so I can remind myself that there was a time when things were different... ha!

My lilies were almost up to the surface before all this STUFF happened! Pretty sure they are back to the bottom of the pond now.

Yup, vivid colour is a feature of waterlily blooms which has been cultivated, Marliac first crossed reds and yellow tones to bring spectacular tone, improved bloom to pad ratios to Northern temperate ponds for the first time

Yeah kind of sad I didn't get around to this but pretty sure my brother did. It's been a crazy winter, a week ago we finally hit double digits consistently. Pecan you know it's bad when 5 degrees to 10 below zero feels the same and normal. :)
