This is probably not that uncommon. I split my plants in the spring and this is one of the flowers that opened. I am guessing maybe the flower started in the fall and with the splitting of the plant it morphed into a plant of its own? Anyone ever have this happen?

I've heard of that happening but mine haven't done it. Don't have the right kind I guess. Very cool!

I've heard of it occurring in tropicals, but never in hardies. Thanks for the info, Adavisus.
