They look rather eerie like they are looking inside your soul !
Right -- it's a bit eerie but I'm so enthralled that I can't get spooked! Although I admit it was a bit off putting when the owl tracked my white greyhound sprinting across the yard to chase a squirrel :p

Nope, happy to say there are no bears here. The town built "greenways" between many of the communities so the wildlife have corridors to call their own. My property backs onto one of the greenways and this particular pair of owls seems to live close by at least most of the year. My next door neighbor has an array of bird feeders, so there are lots of squirrels, chipmunks etc. that the owls might find attractive which is likely what draws them here so often. Lucky for me. :p

We have toyed with moving to the north east east side of tenn. should have acted when we first started looking could have doubled our money but that's not why we want to move there. love the smokies and the blue ridge

Garder snakes/ ribbon snakes depending where you are . Around here they don't even act threatening. Worst they do is drop a sent on yea and yea that's unpleasent..

Yesterday we had an owl getting a sip at sunrise (no pic - the Blink must have blinked)

and then there must have been a busload of Cardinals that dropped by for a bath too.
