Plastic milk crates topped with flagstone serve to raise the level of the plant containers while giving the fish a spot to hide.

small means you need smaller items to place them and crates come in all sizes for back to school college kids .I am going to try to plant my lilies in a gallon milk jug next year to protect it from the koi .I figured if I cut the top off and drill holes in and tie the handle to the side of the pond it may work .When you own a pond you can come up with the craziest things .You just need to go in the store and look at things with a ponders eye

I have a 30" water depth pond and use black all molded plastic foot stools to elevate plants ... they are hidden by plant pots...

I’m too busy to ”research”. Can’t u just say what they are. I’m single with a horse, animals, huge pond, lawns & gardens to take care of. I get on this forum from my phone cuz I dont have time to be on a computer researching or anything else.

@Marion777 - you are the kind of person who makes people lose interest in helping others. Here’s a tip - that phone in your hand that brings you here also allows you to search this forum for the information you seek. Best of luck to you in your very busy life.

The list of plants you ask for is not that simple . My favorite is star grass but it is a annual here but in the Carolinas it's a perennial. In Maine it won't even grow. There's probably 200 common plants for our ponds or more. So it's not a here you go . Oh and depending where you are some thing like parrots feather and hyacythn are extremely invasive and illegal to ship to many areas. Here in the north they die in the cold.

So there's more than just spit it out.
