Hello all,

I have a small kidney shaped fishpond - 4'X3'x2.5' deep. I have a Pondmaster 250GPH pump which I was told was a sufficient size. The pump says it has a filter (a plastic cone-like device) that fits over the intake. My question is - do I need a separate "filter" in addition to the pump one? I have water hyacinths, oxygenator plants, a water lily, 2 tadpoles, 3 goldfish measuring 4"-5". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

That cone filter is a filter, but your pond would be happier and healthier with a bigger filter.
