Hi all. I recently bought a house and there is a garden pond in the back garden with 3 fish. The pond looks like it hasnt been clean for quite a while.
I will say I dont know the first thing about garden ponds but am ready to learn! So where do I start!
There is a filtoclean 6000 beside the pond. Should this be keeping the water clear? Any suggestions where I would start to rejuvenate his pond!? Anyone like to hlep with this project :)

What are the dimensions of the pond, width, depth and length? Looks to me like that filter should keep it clean but the filter could need cleaning out. You may need to net out any gunk floating on top or on the bottom of the pond tho. Never drain the water out of your pond. It is what the fish are used to and only top off any water that evaporates. If you have city water you will need to add dechlorinater/ chloromine remover drops if your water has those in it.

Hi! Dimensions are 70cm (W) x 360cm (L) x 43cm (D).
How often should the pump be on?

So 11ft 10" long by 2ft 4" wide and 1ft 5" deep U.S sizes. The pump should run 24/7 and be cleaned out when needed.

Welcome to the forum!

That is around 300 gallons. Keep the fish load low.

I wonder if water comes out the heads on the wall?

I would start by cleaning the junk off the bottom.
Does it run?

Yep. Only 3 fish. Water does come out the heads. The water comes out when a switch is pressed on the wall.
Thanks for the feedback. I will start by cleaning the junk. There is around 3 inches of gunk in it :bored:.
I best invest in some cleaning equipment

A good pool net works well, unless it is that super fine muck.
With that depth a good shop vac will suck stuff off the bottom.
