On your main drain caulk everything the inside of the collar and the outside of the collar and over the screws . This way you have a double seal I case there's an issue somewhere

I forgot to show off how my dad and I got the 25x25 liner down in the pond. We are finally rocking the walls but we need to go rock hunting in the next few days as we ran out of large stones. Lots of work still left to do like putting in the waterfall liner and finishing the stream from the bog but we are getting there. My dog seams to have found a not so comfortable looking place to rest I'm sure it's warm there on the rocks lol.

Quite the task you have taken on by hand.
I question the placement of the stones without a protection layer of fabric, some of those rocks have some pretty sharp looking edges

I wish we had the means for a tractor but it is what it is. A lot of work but very fulfilling. I did put some fabric behind a few jagged rocks most of them are pretty round and there are no pinch points rock liner rock so it should be ok. Thanks for the advice I just got some more rock and some of it is jagged so I will need to cut up more fabric for sure.

I have been trying to find rock that don't look soft or splitable but it could happen I will start using more fabric I think. Thanks again it's a big investment to have something go wrong and have to spend hours fixing or replacing something.

A sound choice, and cheap insurance. Some of those most sound rock split the easiest

Love the ramp.
Dog bed suggestion: Try a bag of white marble "chips", around here the Big Box stores carry them. The marble stays pretty cool even in the heat, and maybe your dog will like that even better when it's really hot outside (assuming you're in the part of AZ that gets really hot.)

Thanks for the suggestion I live in the white mountains of AZ and it was probably chilly so the warm rocks were nice but they just looked uncomfortable but dogs don't mind I guess.

Hello again everybody, I know It's been a while since my last update a lot has been happing. I have been trying to move full speed ahead to avoid freezing temperatures and snow to no avail. I was very worried about my pond and bog because even thought there should not be any water in my plumbing the bottom of the pond and bog both have maybe 6in of water and my skimmer box has water in it. We put a blanket over the skimmer and one on the bog and one at the bottom of the pond and so far so good. I almost have the waterfall finished up and then I can fill up the pond and run her until it warms up and do any finish work if necessary. Everything is looking god so far I think. Here are some pictures of my stream now %99 finished. In the last photo you can see my bridge stones. I will share some more photos later in the week. Thanks for checking out my build progress pond on my friends.

So I am shocked that it has been so long since I started on this feature and I wanted to show it off sooner but I was not sure at the time how it would work out. I had this huge piece of sandstone and I wanted a place to sit and feed my Koi, I wanted it to over hang the pond and drop strait down. As we were hunting for rocks in the woods I found a place with some really cool rocks that are uncommon in the area. They have a red or purple color and are somewhat flat so I figured easy to stack and keep my sandstone from falling into my pond. In the end it turned out great and its really solid. Most of the sandstone is sitting on the ground with only a little bit overhanging.

That's looking great!

I forget, did you build an under-gravel suction grid? There were some fairly comprehensive articles in Pond Trade magazine on them, and I thought about doing a system like that for my pond. In the end, I decided against it simply because the pond has so many different levels that it would have been a nightmare to construct. Definitely better for flat-bottomed koi type ponds like yours, so if that's what you built, I'd love to see how it turns out.
