They are too cute.

That one pic with him laying down reminds me of my squirrel friend. He has started coming back around again and just hanging out. He eats sleeps some, eats some more.

Ohhhhhhhhh, I don't want them to leave! Addy can't you sneak and follow them to the new dens the mom has made for them and set up camera's there too? Wonder how far she takes them away from their birth den. Wonder if any try to follow her back? Well maybe she will raise a family in the same spot each year under your house and we can see them again. Guess you can't cover up the entrance under there ever. You have so many neat photos of them!

We hate to see them go too, really enjoying the visit. Doing our best not to interfere with nature and life, no food giving, (well one tiny pile of dog food) no attempting to get them to be not afraid of us.

They are exploring more and more, so my guess within the next few weeks they will be taken to their new homes. I am losing a few day lily blooms to the kids, mom ignores flowers and goes for weeds.

That squirrel is just too cute! love it.

Well I wish them a good life and take care little ones!

Tmann I have seen one squirrel here in the 12 yrs we have lived here on this property. Too much open space here I guess. We have trees but not large amounts. I wish they would come here.

Is that like roll call for squirrels where I blow a trumpet and they all are supposed to line up at attention?

You need to take a video of you doing it so that we can all capture the moment you see a squirrel in yard for the first time in 12 years. So make sure you are prepared with video running. You could even show us a demonstration of you doing it.

Lol........I think that guy is wanting to shoot them and eat them up! The first two sounds I have heard the squirrels make but don't think I have ever heard that distress call.............sounds more like a party horn on one of those casino slot machines!

Not spending $10. on that thing but feel free to send me one and I'll try it out! He also said it is just for locating them not drawing them to your property from far away. Just send me one of your squirrels in the mail and I promise to feed him and treat him nicely!

Just came back from the Post Office, j.w., They wouldn't accept my parcel with a dozen squirrels in it. Something about vetrinary certificates, Illegal transport of game animals, and shipping criminals across international boundaries. Damn beurocracies!!! :grumble:

Oh yeah, that video dude is going to sell videos of squirrel calls and make himself a hunderd dollas! OMG, ... that last call is sure a party horn, agreed. LOL He sounds like he has learned what the squirrels will pay attention to so he can shoot them for supper.
I have no squirrels in my yard either, JW. I have about 5 large trees, but that's it, and none of them are good squirrel trees: 2 large elm, 3 large soft maples. Small oak will be good squirrel tree someday, and I've planted quite a few other trees, but will be 15-20 years before they are large enough. At this point, I'm hoping for more birds. I'm thrilled I have no moles, though, so there is some good out of having farmed fields surrounding my house for a mile in every direction!

What no moles...............we gonna have to fix that CE cuz you haven't lived not having the little sweethearts in your yards...........but you prolly had them in other places you've lived.

Haro thanks for trying...............can't you just send them attached to the legs of your lovely Canadian Geese?
