Thanks for the information Nova. My pond is fairly large, and I am planning on installing a waterfall/stream sometime in the next few months, so maybe they will be healthier in the small pools above the waterfall. Do you have any water lettuce? Did you notice any difference with them?

My large pond ones are green, the small pond ones are struggling a little lol, But the parrots feather is doing better in the small pond then the big pond.

My parrot feathers are planted in pots/lava rock about 6" under water. They survived the winter and are growing pretty good.

i have read for a day or so, have not done it myself, give them some time to absorb the nutrients.

For what it's worth, Parrots Feather has been declared an invasive species in Ontario (zone 5), so it seems to be adapting to cooler conditions. John

It survived 8 inches of ice on my pond, regrew in the spring

My pond gets ice a few inches thick sometimes and it always comes back for me also.
