Hey, Barryian! Just trying to maintain.
A GH of 3? Need to get that up to the same level as the KH. Do it gradually though. Some claim otherwise but I have never been one to change any parameter abruptly unless it is life supporting like Oxygen.

Thx! Glad to hear it! Keep maintaining !!! -;) ... What would you use to bring it u? Are you familiar with CC from pool supplies since that is what I have! We don't want floating koi due to additives not on the label.

Calcium Chloride is usually just Calcium Chloride. There is no reason to put in any additives to modify product texture or handling because the stuff would over-power any additives anyway. It will absorb enough moisture from the air to dissolve and it's just obnoxious to handle. Just put some in your leaf net, hang it over the pond and it will slowly dissolve and drain into the pond over time.
Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) and Agricultural Gypsum (Calcium Sulfate) are good stuff too.
