Pics of my new filters

As promised here are some pics of my new filter arrangement. Very impressed with filters so far.......the screenmatic mesh is stopping all the heavy waste from going into the filters. More to the point im pumping alot more water through the filters now. The wooden box needs a coat of paint then it will blend in better, the shed and my old filter box are going and that area will become a patio area........sometime

What was the cost of this flter and where did you get it from Willo I like the screenmatic sorts of acts as an inbuilt skimmer n reality , how many gallons will it handle?

Its a Oase biotec 12 screenmatic

The screen takes out all but the fine rubbish so the filters dont get dirty as quick.....in theory??? Time will tell !!! As you can see from pics its stopping the algea from entering the filters.

This was a demo model it was only dusty i paid £475, when i looked on web they are all same price £550. Its more than i wanted to pay but the screen works great as my pics show. They do a couple of bigger units as well.

They are raised beds they where like this when we moved in 3yrs ago. There is a pear tree to the right of pond and the bed at back of filters has plants and sweet peas &runner beans.

I'm disappointed with the inclusion of zeolite cartridges in the filter.
I wonder if the filter comes with good supporting literature as to what maintenance is required for the cartridges. I can see where a customer could come away with a false sense of security using zeolite continuously.

Otherwise I like the design of the unit.
It's even available here in Canada.

There was no info about the zeolite filters at all, thats why ive been asking lots of questions as ive never used zeolite before. Very impressed with these filters so far.

I have used zeolite/carbon mix in my aquariums but that was when I was first starting out. No need for it now but if I have trouble with ammonia in the future I would use it again (along with water changes)
